This explains what thehealint collects, why, who can see it and what control you have — in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

01

The short version

Your health information belongs to you. We collect what the product genuinely needs to work, we tell you why, and we do not sell it.

  • We collect what is needed to find care, book it and keep your records — not more.
  • A provider sees your record because you allowed it, for as long as you allow it.
  • We do not sell personal or health information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it.

02

What we collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Account details — name, mobile number, email, and date of birth where a provider requires it.
  • What you tell us when you search for care, including symptoms you describe in your own words.
  • Appointment details — who you booked, when, and at which facility.
  • Health records generated through the platform — prescriptions, consultation notes, invoices, and reports a provider or lab issues to you.
  • Anything you send us through a form on this site.

Information collected automatically:

  • Approximate location, when you allow it, so we can show care near you. You can decline and search by area name instead.
  • Device and usage information — browser, operating system, and which pages failed — used to keep the service working.

03

Why we use it

  • To help you understand what kind of care may be appropriate and to show relevant providers near you.
  • To make and manage bookings, check-ins and queues.
  • To store your prescriptions, reports and visit history so they are there when you need them.
  • To keep the service secure, detect abuse, and fix faults.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to healthcare in India.

We do not use your health information to target advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

04

Who can see your information

Providers you choose. When you book an appointment, the doctor, clinic or hospital receives what they need to see you — your name, contact details, the reason for the visit, and the history you have consented to share. Access is scoped to the care relationship and is recorded.

Service providers who work for us. Hosting, communications and infrastructure partners process data on our instructions, under contract, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

When the law requires it. We may disclose information where we are legally obliged to, or where it is necessary to protect someone from serious harm.

We do not sell your personal or health information.

06

How we protect it

Health data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside the platform is scoped to the care relationship, and reads and writes against a patient record are attributable and reviewable.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

07

How long we keep it

We keep your account and health records for as long as your account is active, so that your history remains available to you.

Where healthcare or tax law requires a provider or us to retain particular records for a set period, we retain them for that period even after you close your account. Everything else is deleted or anonymised.

08

Children and dependants

thehealint is intended for adults. A parent or guardian may manage care for a child or dependant through a family profile, and is responsible for the information they provide on that person’s behalf.

09

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you before the change takes effect — not by quietly editing this page.

10
